Free ebook cover design template pack in .psd

Many websites offer free guides or reports in an ebook format. To get these guides visitors often have to fill in their names and email addresses in order to be able to download the guide. The method people usually use on their website to convince visitors to download their ebook is called a squeeze page. This page is designed only to motivate people to leave their email address; which can be used by the site owner to send relevant newsletters or (to make some money) product offers. (Btw: A great WordPress plugin that u can use on your squeeze page to collect mail addresses is G-Lock Double Opt-in Manager).

When you are about to offer your own free ebook on your mainpage or on a squeeze page; you might need some nicely designed ebook covers. So here you go, some free ebook covers that you can download in .psd. You can alter them anyway you like. A good thing is NOT EVER to use the word ebook on the cover (as people do not react that positive to that ‘word’ anymore nowadays). Better use ‘report’ or ‘guide’ or whatever else describes your particular ebook best.

See the examples below. I have some ebook covers, a dvd cover template with cd, a software box cover template and the original ebook design. Again; all files are all in .psd format for you to edit them to your own wishes and likings. Do with it whatever you fancy; but if you really like it please give me a link to this article!

Designing Ad Banners

Designing Ad banners effectively in your website creates a lot of difference and improves your site traffic thereby it improves your website’s worth. Banners have a lasting impression on customers and hence design it with care to be in good books of customer. Designing ad banners is very easy if you know some tips and good websites to create. It is very important that the banners you create look professional and pleasing to eyes. Make it simple and use fonts and colors which are easy to read and understand. Use attractive words in the banner which are eye catching. Change your banner ads frequently so that your website looks new and good.

There are a lot of quality websites that offers free ad banners for this purpose. One such is freebannersandbuttons.com. It has a good collection of ad banners with preview to decide whether it suits your website. Creating your own Ad banner can be done in seconds by choosing an ad design that suits your website and by writing an eye catching text. It is always good to design ad banners of standard size 468x60px or 234x60px as it may not consume a lot of space.

If you have decided to create your own banners from scratch, make sure you use colors like purple, red, black, blue and green as it will look good. Usually colors like orange and green entice people to actually follow the url to the website that is projected underneath the banner. Use an understandable font and size. Make sure the banner size does not exceed 12k if possible (which will be impossible for animated banner types). You can also contact a professional on for example the popular outsource website oDesk to create high-end banner ads who may charge from $25 to $125 in order to design according to your specifications. Cheap designers can be found at Fiverr.com

Flash banners and animated .gif’s are two very popular banner formats. Handle with caution and care though; as these animated images quickly turn sour when people see them too often. Avoid people getting annoyed with animated banners, but don’t rule them out completely as they tend to be very effective in spreading the message.

Nowadays the most popular formats are the 125x125px banners (usually on blogs within the sidebar) and most bigger formats like 200x200px, 250x250px, 300x250px and the biggest of all 336x228px (according to IAB banner ad unit guidelines).
